The Marché Noir at Le Comptoir Général in Paris can be defined as "vintage store and exotic style office".
Amah Ayivi, Togolese fashion expert and head of the project, finds treasures of clothing and accessories thanks to his exploration around the world, especially West Africa.
The journey of a few thousand kilometers done by these second-hand clothes from Europe indeed gives them a particular style adapted to the practices, customs, daily life and local trends.
The objective is to help create value on-site training "homing" support to small businesses (tailors, shoemakers), and rise in competence of local tailors and designers.
The result is a special place: the mezzanine of Le Comptoir Général, full of unique pieces, telling us personal hisories and style.
